Ilkley’s rugby players head for Bridlington on Saturday with coach Rhys Morgan determined that they don’t coast through their remaining four matches.

Although promotion from Yorkshire One is still a remote mathematical possibility, clinching third place is the realistic objective.

Achieving that goal may not be easy as the remaining fixtures include a number of tough test and the Dalemen will need to perform well if they are to finish with the flourish Morgan is seeking.

After their trip to the East Coast, Ilkley face Dinnington at home, then a tricky visit to bogey side North Ribblesdale before taking on current leaders Huddersfield YMCA at Stacks Field on the final day of the season.

“It is important we maintain our standards and finish strongly,” said Morgan.

“There have been a lot of good things this season and it is important that we try to end on high note.”

Morgan has been pleased with the way that players like Josh Cocke- ham, Charlie Davy, Paul Petchey and Steve Nolson have emerged to be regulars with the first team.

“They have all forced their way into the team and performed well. It augurs well for the future,” said Morgan Centre JH Johnson is unavailable for Saturday’s match but stand off Mike Cacchia is set to return which will allow fit-again Craig Barker to slot in at centre.

In the pack John Hutchinson, Kris Stafford and Cockerham are all available for selection again after missing the win against Barnsley two weeks ago.
