Ilkley have been practicing new tactics in a bid to secure another Yorkshire One victory this Saturday.
They visit a York side that are making positive strides under the guidance of former Otley coach Peter Clegg.
“He is a shrewd operator and I am sure he has worked out our strengths,” said his Ilkley count- erpart Rhys Morgan.
“That is why we have been working on a few surprises this week.
“York are a good side and are fifth in the league and Peter Clegg has proved down the years that he knows how to prepare his side.
“Make no mistake, they will want to beat us after losing narrowly at Stacks Field, so it may take something a bit special or different to defeat them.”
Morgan will have to reshuffle his pack this week with John Hutch- inson missing from the front row and lock Steve Burns out injured.
“We will look at our options at selection tonight and go from there.
“Once again it is an opportunity for somebody to come in and if they take their chance they could well stay there,” Morgan said.
After home victories in their last two games against Scarborough and Knottingley, Ilkley are looking to increase the pressure on the top two, Driffield and Huddersfield YMCA.
“If we can keep winning that will keep them on their toes. YMCA are visiting North Ribblesdale on Saturday who beat them earlier in the season. A repeat would be a help,” said Morgan.
