Everyone at Ilkley's Westville House School has been enjoying preparing for World Book Day. The whole school dressed up as their favourite character from their favourite book, with a superb range of costumes.

Staff member Julie James became Professor McGonagalland other teachers and pupils turned into people like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Parvati Patil and Draco Malfoy.

There have been several other events at the school including a talk from the staff at Ilkley Library and a chance for the older children to share stories with the younger ones.

A school spokesman said: "We are thrilled with the children's response to our Book Events. Reading is just as much fun as ever for the children at Westville House School".
