Guiseley pupils shine in cross-country
A Guiseley Tranmere Park pupil has come first in the Leeds School Cross Country Championships
Year 5 pupil Tristan Fripp, saw off strong opposition from Leeds Grammar School, and the Tranmere team finished second on the day.
Other members of the boys' team were George Wade, Connor Greenwood, Oscar Edwards, Lewis Turner, Tom Pullan and William Bowie.
The girls' team finished third on the day with Georgina Bentley coming third and Rachel Turner sixth. Other members of the girls' team were Molly Denton, Anna Smith, Amber Hudson, Chloe Hudson and Abby Brown.
A school spokesman said: "Many of our runners are of a young age, so we are looking forward to continuing success in the future. Well done to all members of both teams for such a splendid effort."
