GIRLS at Ilkley's Moorfield School prepared to welcome in the Year of the Rat by learning about traditional Chinese culture.

Children at the school, on Ben Rhydding Road, have been learning about Chinese New Year - which takes place today - and Chinese culture. Pupils had a chance to try on traditional costume, and catering staff at the school prepared a dish of lemon chicken and stir-fried vegetables and noodles for them to try.
