Menston Primary brush up on their art
Pupils at Menston Primary School got the New Year off to a crafty start when they attended a Whole School Arts day.
The event, jointly organised by the school and Education Bradford, saw each one of the school's 329 pupils involved in making all sorts of artistic works. The children were placed in groups of all different ages and given three activities to complete from a whole range of events including dance, drama, performance poetry and outdoor sculpture as well as more traditional arts such as pastels, watercolour painting and mosaic making.
Head teacher Ian Jones said: "I was delighted with what was a very special day. The school received fantastic support from parents and friends and it was a real celebration of the school community. Local parents came in and led the activities and it was wonderful to see everything come together. The children made some wonderful creations and it was very much enjoyed by everyone."
