On street parking in Ilkley will be discussed at a Bradford Council meeting next week

On street parking in Ilkley will be discussed at a Bradford Council meeting next week.

Ilkley councillor Anne Hawkesworth has asked the leader of the council, Coun Dave Green, two questions, which should be answered at a meeting of the full council in Bradford on October 16.

Her first question says: “Does the leader of the council (who visited Ilkley town centre and was shocked with the on street parking situation), consider there to be a conflict between the parking congestion in residential street surrounding the town and the council’s proposals for 1,300 extra dwellings for the ward?”

Coun Hawkesworth’s second question asks: “Can the leader inform colleagues of when the on street parking review for residential streets surrounding Ilkley town centre, involving ward members, as promised by the then leader of the council, Ian Greenwood and Coun Dave Green, in February 2012, is to be commenced?”

The meeting takes place in City Hall at 4pm.
