Children at Jolly Tots Pre-School Nursery in Burley-in-Wharfedale gave a performance fit for a queen with their sparkling ‘Best of British’ show, raising a majestic £203 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Parents gathered at the Queen’s Hall in Main Street to watch the Jolly Tots Jewels perform a range of songs, from the national anthem to more inventive numbers combining traditional nursery rhyme tunes with Olympic-themed lyrics.

More than 40 tots took to the stage in patriotic red, white and blue outfits, and were conducted by Sarah Constantine, who founded Jolly Tots in 1997.

The ‘Best of British’ theme was completed with a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. The Marie Curie Hospice Bradford, which serves residents of Ilkley, cares for 1,100 patients each year.
