Comic take on Olympics at workshop

A comic take on the Olympics is coming to libraries in Burley, Ilkley and Menston this month in a series of cartoon-drawing workshops.

Cartoonist Matt Dyson will help children and young people to create characters with an Olympic theme, including pictures based on their favourite sporting activities.

The hour-long sessions will be suitable for youngsters aged between seven and 12 who want to improve their sketching skills or just love drawing.

Sessions will run at Burley Library on August 24, starting at 3pm; Ilkley Library, from 10.30am on August 25; and at Menston Library on the same day, starting at 2pm.

Places are free, but due to limited availability, it will be necessary to book in advance through the relevant library.
