Buses diverted due to 'danger' tree branches
3:55pm Monday 9th July 2012 in Local news By Amanda Greaves
Bus services between Addingham and Ilkley are being diverted because of “dangerous” overhanging tree branches on Ilkley Road.
Transdev Keighley and District withdrew its 762 and 765 buses from the road, which runs parallel to a section of the A65 Addingham bypass, last Friday.
The operator said this was due to damage sustained to buses by overhanging tree branches.
The company apologised to passengers for any inconvenience, but said it did not have a time for the resumption of services on the normal route.
It is understood council highways officers have visited the road, but the company remained concerned today about the risk posed by overhanging branches after checking the site.
