Rain fails to deter revellers
Never mind the weather! A downpour wasn’t going to stop partygoers celebrating the Diamond Jubilee.
This hardy group of people came prepared to let nothing stop them marking the historic occasion – as did hundreds of others throughout the district.
Reader Julia Kay snapped this image on The Grove at Ilkley. She said: “I don’t know who they are, but I thought the photo summed up the determination of the great British public to enjoy themselves.”
