Staff and “exemplary” pupils at a primary school are celebrating after receiving a glowing report from Government inspectors.
Ben Rhydding Primary School was rated good with outstanding features by Ofsted inspectors following a two-day inspection earlier this year.
And delighted head teacher, Carry Lynott, said the positive report was due to efforts by everyone involved with the school.
“Everyone at school is very pleased with the outcome of our recent inspection which has recognised the commitment, efforts and contribution made by the whole school community towards the success of our school,” Mrs Lynott said.
Inspector Jane Hughes said the school, in Bolling Road, had an “excellent school ethos” which “enables pupils to flourish”.
Her report, said morale was high at the 215 pupil school and added: “Pupils’ behaviour is exemplary in lessons and around the school” and that the “Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is exceptionally well promoted.”
The report also praised the school’s “highly imaginative approaches to curriculum delivery” and recognised that learning at the school is “full of purpose and fun”.
It also says Mrs Lynott, senior leaders and governors provide strong vision and direction for the school in which the children felt safe and happy.
The school and Mrs Lynott were also commended for their role in leading a learning collaborative that includes other local schools from the Wharfe and Aire Valleys.
In a letter to the pupils, the inspector said they were particularly good at supporting improvement not only at Ben Rhydding but also in other local schools.
Coun Ralph Berry, Bradford Council’s executive member for children and young people’s services, said: “This report reflects the hard work and commitment being made by the whole school to provide a quality education for the pupils.
“Everyone at the school deserves to be congratulated and their efforts have resulted in this glowing report.”
