Man remanded on wounding charge

A 48-year-old Burley-in-Wharfedale man has appeared in court charged with wounding a woman at an address on Ilkley’s Railway Road on Easter Sunday. Grant Stephenson, of Peel Place, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, charged with wounding the 51-year-old woman with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Bradford Crown Court on Thursday April 19.
