A body, believed to be a missing 79-year-old man, has been discovered near a bus stop.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police discovered the body along Coutances Way, Ilkley, next to the Denton bridge across the River Wharfe at about 3.45pm on Sunday.
A post mortem will be performed to establish a cause of death but it is not currently believed there are any suspicious circumstances, a spokesman for the police said.
The pensioner was reported missing in Burley-in-Wharfedale at about 1.25pm on Sunday and investigating officers searched the area before the body was discovered at Ilkley.
