WITH a life-long love of his home town, Ilkley, Alan Titchmarsh was kept busy last week supporting various events in the town.
He called in at Christchurch, The Grove, curious to see the world's largest production jigsaw puzzle which was on display for a week. With 48,000 pieces and measuring 7.68 x 2.04m, the puzzle illustrated colourful scenes around the world. After he had reflected on many of the illustrated places he has visited, the organisers set Alan the challenge of finding the gap in which to place the final piece.
Appreciation of the commitment of the enthusiasts who spent the winter months putting the jigsaw together came in the form of donations or sponsorship to be shared between Christchurch, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.
