PASSENGERS and staff were evacuated from Leeds-Bradford Airport this morning after a false alarm.
The full evacuation procedure was put into action after a fire alarm was accidentally set off shortly after 8am.
Firefighters from Rawdon attended but declared the incident a false fire alarm.
Harewood councillor Ryan Stephenson tweeted: "Leeds and Bradford Airport evacuated due to fire alarm just now. Impressively quick response by staff coordinating. Fire brigade on scene."
Firefighters were called to the scene after the fire alarm began to sound in the passenger terminal. The airport was re-opened shortly afterwards after the all-clear was given.
