A MACMILLAN coffee morning held at Ilkley Tennis Club raised £500 for the charity.
Organiser Sue Walters said: "It is such a fantastic organisation and deserves all the publicity it can get. It is a special cause in my family. I have just heard that my 27 year-old godson has a place in next year's London Marathon for Macmillan and in 2014 my youngest daughter, Danielle, climbed Kilimanjaro raising £5000 for the Macmillan Appeal. I have been hosting coffee mornings for them for 20 years, and my daughter's Dance School (Joze School of
Dance - here in Ilkley) often fundraises for them."
