FUTURE plans for health services across the district and a review of progress during the past year will be outlined at a meeting this month.

Updates will be provided by the NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) at its AGM on Thursday, September 28.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, at Ilkley Rugby Club, Stacks Field, Denton Road, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.

The CCG will present its annual report and accounts for 2016-17.

Dr James Thomas, the CCG's clinical chairman, said: "We know that local people are passionate about the NHS and health care services so we would encourage as many as possible to attend our AGM to hear about our progress and plans for the future.

"We'll be reporting back on some of the highlights of our work over the last year. This includes setting out a clear vision for how we will meet some of our key challenges whilst delivering improved health, care and finances over the next five years, all built around the needs of local people.

"Alongside this, we will be presenting how – in conjunction with social care and the voluntary sector – we have developed a strategy that will transform mental wellbeing for people living in our area."

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to book a place by e-mailing engage@awcccg.nhs.uk or calling 01274 237569.

The annual report can be viewed at airedalewharfedalecravenccg.nhs.uk and the agenda will be available from tomorrow (Sept 15).

Questions about the report and accounts can be put at the meeting or submitted in advance when booking a place.
