ILKLEY MP John Grogan is campaigning for better broadband accessibility and speeds.
He has teamed-up with consumer magazine Which? to press for action across his constituency.
And he is urging people unhappy with their broadband provision to contact him.
"A good broadband connection is now essential to modern-day living," said Mr Grogan, who met with Which? representatives in the Commons.
"Many businesses big and small can only operate effectively if they have a good, reliable and speedy connection.
"In my first weeks as an MP, I have had a number of e-mails highlighting big gaps in provision – notably in Stanbury and parts of Steeton.
"I would urge constituents who are not satisfied with their broadband to let me know so I can do my best to apply pressure to fill the gaps.
"Also, I would encourage people to go on the Which? website so they can build-up a national picture."
