AN OTLEY student has been presented with an award for raising awareness of cerebral palsy.
Nineteen year old Chloe Tear, who was diagnosed with the neurological disorder when she was seven, received her Rotary Young Citizen Award last week.
It was presented by the Rotary Club of Otley Chevin in recognition, in particular, of her work for the charity CP Teens UK and her blog, Life as a Cerebral Palsy Student.
The award followed a talk on the night by Chloe, who members of the club had met previously at Prince Henry's Grammar School during a visit to give final year students mock interviews.
She is now studying Psychology and Child Development at Leeds Trinity University.
