A SCREENING of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo has raised £250 for an Otley fundraising campaign.
Otley Film Society showed the classic movie at the Courthouse on January 5, when more than 90 people turned out to watch.
The proceeds will go to the Otley Parish Church Bell Restoration Appeal, which is aiming to raise £28,565.
In May, meanwhile, the society will show Power In Our Hands - a documentary about the struggle to have British Sign Language recognised.
The screening will also be a fundraiser for the National Deaf Children's Society and will feature a question and answer session.
Alex Leggat of Otley Film Society said: "We try to work with many different groups using the power of film to help get the message out there.
"We have also collaborated with Otley Action For Older People with our regular Fish 'n' Reels events, as well as one-off screenings for specific causes.
"If any organisations would like to screen a particular fundraising film we are always ready to offer our services - please send an e-mail to info@otleyfilmsociety.org.uk for more information."
