MENSTON now has a second defibrillator thanks to local fundraisers.
The publicly accessible lifesaving device was installed at Menston Railways Station on Friday, December 23.
The lion's share of the equipment's £1,524 cost was raised by local resident Beth Street, who completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a 10k run for the cause, and friends.
The venue for the defibrillator was chosen after the sudden death of a popular local teaching assistant, Sue Hope, at the station in March, 2016.
Fifty eight year old Mrs Hope, who worked at St Mary's, Menston died on the platform after suffering a heart attack.
Among those attending Friday's ceremony were Menston Parish council Chairman Peter Finlay and Menston Community Association Chairman Steve Ellams.
Dr Ellams said: "There was a good turnout for a very good cause.
"Beth thanked those who had assembled and Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics gave a short presentation on how to use the equipment.
"It was also proposed that in the new year a Local course will be help to encourage more people to learn what to do in an emergency situation .
