BURLEY Parish Council is inviting people to take part in its pumpkin carving competition.
Call into the parish office (with a adult) in Queen's Hall between 10am and noon on Wednesday, October 26 to purchase a pumpkin for £1. Spend the next few days carving the pumpkin and take it back to Queen's Hall on Saturday, October 29 at 10.30am.
Entry is free and all entries will get a prize, with the best three receiving a special prize.
"We do not think there are any ghosts and ghoulies in Burley but just in case why not take part in the pumpkin carving to have an inviting pumpkin outside your house ready for Halloween!" said parish councillor Stuart Bottomley.
