AN ILKLEY dog shop and spa has marked its first birthday.
Barkers, on The Grove, invited dog owners and their pets along to join the celebrations, which included a fundraising raffle.
More than £120 was raised for the Miss Mollies Dog Rescue charity, while the store also offered customers a ten per cent discount on all products over the celebration weekend.
Store Manager Amy Royal said: "We have loved welcoming all the barkers of Ilkley into our shop over the past year, whether it’s to give them a makeover in our grooming spa or send them off with some delicious treats.
"We’d like to say a big thank you to all our customers for all their support in our first year and we hope everyone enjoyed the celebrations!"
Founder of Miss Mollies Dog Rescue, Jeanne Thompson, added: "Every penny we receive is greatly appreciated.
"We rely on donations to help look after local dogs in need of rehoming, so we’re extremely grateful to the Barkers team and their customers for raising this money over the store’s birthday weekend."
