THE Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) Ilkley Book Fair will this year take place in the Winter Gardens as the King's Hall is currently closed for maintenance work.

It takes place on July 29, from noon to 6pm, and on from 10am to 4pm the following day.

Fair manager and owner of TP Books, of Addingham, Louise Harrison said: "More than 40 dealers will be coming from all over the country offering a huge selection of out-of-print, collectable and antiquarian books for sale.

"The subject matters represented are almost beyond belief, covering all areas of fiction, poetry, literature from great classics to favourites for the future. Non-fiction will also be widely available, from sporting to architecture, engineering to natural and local history, transport, history, cookery and gardening.

"Really, there is far too great a variety to try to describe, so the best option would be to visit the event in person and see for yourself. Admission is free of charge and all the dealers present will be delighted to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with collectors, readers and book fair first-timers alike. Prices start at just a few pounds – treat yourself or someone you love to a lasting, thought-provoking and indeed eco-friendly present."
