CHILDREN at Ashlands Primary School in Ilkley learned about road safety the fun way with the help of Bradford Road Safety Team.
The children in KS1 were delighted to have a visit from the team, says the school, as they and the Reception classes were given the chance to dress up in a lollypop person's outfit, as well as being taught about road safety.
They all joined in with a little chant - promoting the road safety message - that they were keen to teach their parents at home time.
It was a perfect opportunity to remind the children about being safe on all roads, including car parks and driveways too.
Meanwhile, the school is looking into the possibility of organising a school crossing patrol to help pupils safely cross the busy A65 Leeds Road every morning and after school.
