BUDDING artists in Guiseley are being given the chance to win a £50 art hamper and to have their work displayed in a local arts and crafts superstore.
To celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday, Hobbycraft in Guiseley is launching a ‘Create for the Queen’ art competition. Store colleagues will vote for their favourites, with the winner from each store going forward to the national competition.
To enter, budding artists must submit their own royal themed masterpiece using a creative medium of their choice, whether that is drawing, painting, sketching or mixed media.
The designs must be submitted in store no later than Sunday, June 5 and then store colleagues will pick their favourite piece.
Store manager, Mark Wallace, said: “We can’t wait to see the majestic masterpieces our customers create to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday and are looking forward to choosing a winner!”
You’ll find Hobbycraft Guiseley at on Guiseley Retail Park, Park Road.
