A 'HOME exchange' weekend at Otley's Garnett Wharfe development has been hailed a success.

David Wilson Homes, which is redeveloping the town's former paper mill site, said it enjoyed strong sales thanks to the promotion on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17.

Of 22 recent sales 14 came from direct leads made over the weekend, while four part exchange deals were struck over the same period.

The event saw an independent team provide same-day valuations of visitors’ current properties, meaning a price could be agreed with the developer's part exchange team on the day.

Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, Sam Wood, said: "We’re delighted to have seen such strong sales following our part exchange event across the region.

"The part exchange process is so simple and is proving extremely popular - it’s also fantastic to see so many visitors returning to purchase quality homes at our developments after the weekend."

A total of 237 homes, a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom properties, are being built at Garnett Wharfe.
