VOLUNTEERS are being sought by a care trust.

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for people interested in helping to enhance its service provision.

The organisation provides social care and community and mental health services across Airedale and Craven, Bradford and Wharfedale.

It runs the centre for mental health in the grounds of Airedale Hospital.

Catherine Pitts, volunteering lead, said: "The NHS would not function without volunteers.

"We already have some amazing people, making a massive difference, and we would like to build on this.

"We have many volunteers running groups out in the community for people with long-term health conditions.

"All our volunteers increase the health and wellbeing of service users and carers."

A new volunteering strategy is being unveiled by the trust at a board meeting today (Nov 26) at Silsden Town Hall.
