AN ILKLEY events company is celebrating after picking up the Best Wedding Caterer award at The Wedding Industry Awards.
Box Tree Events secured one of the 24 titles handed out at the major North East awards this week.
They will now go forward to the national finals held in London on January 14, 2016.
Rena Gueller, Box Tree Events managing director, said: “We are over the moon to receive such a prestigious award and I’m incredibly proud. Michelle and the team all work so hard to make each individual wedding such a memorable day and winning an award like this is recognition of their hard work.
“It’s an even wider team effort as we work with a number of excellent Yorkshire suppliers who help make our events what they are.”
Box Tree Events launched in 2004 and along with its Michelin-starred counterpart, The Box Tree restaurant, employs around 15 full time staff with another 20 part time.
Michelle Hudson, Box Tree Events Manager, added: “We’re all ecstatic and we can’t wait for the national finals now in January, as we get to fly the flag for Yorkshire. And who knows? We may be lucky enough to collect another award, fingers crossed.”
