STEETON Male Voice Choir members are getting excited about their concert this Saturday in Ilkley.

(October 10)

Choir spokesman Eric Parker said the show at the King’s Hall was always the highlight of the choir’s year.

He said: “Over 400 people enjoy the musical programme that we are now fine tuning at rehearsal.

“We are pleased to welcome again the City Of Bradford Brass Band with conductor Lee Skipsey on stage with us.

“We welcome audience participation in singing Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory with choir and band.”

Tickets for the concert cost £12.

Next week the choir travels to Chatsworth House in the Peak District to sing in the famous Painted Hall.

The Duchess of Devonshire, who lives at the stately home, is the patron of Steeton Male Voice Choir.

A few tickets are still available for the October 17 concert costing £25 including refreshments on arrival before the 7.30pm start.

Admission by ticket only £25 including refreshments on arrival.
