A TEN-YEAR-OLD Ilkley girl has landed a role on a British Gas advert that has gone viral.

Emily Batchelor, who attends Ashlands Primary School, won the part after auditioning earlier this year.

The advert centres around an interview between dance sensation Diversity, who shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent, and Emily. The interview is all about green energy, and Emily shows how much of a whizz she is by quizzing the celebrity duo and having a great laugh with them about the subject.

Emily attends drama class at Articulate Speech, Drama & Casting on Saturday mornings at Ilkley Grammar School.

Emily's mum, Louiza, said: "I'm so glad we found Articulate. Emily had only been attending for a couple of months before she was offered the British Gas audition.

"Emily absolutely loved filming."

Emily added: "Filming was a great experience for me. Perri and Jordan from Diversity were very nice guys and they made me feel really comfortable as it was my first time on set."

Principal of Articulate, Stacey Burrows, said she is trilled with Emily's achievement. "She's a lovely little girl and its a great Ilkley success," she said.
