A MOUNTAIN biker had to be airlifted to hospital from the Washburn Valley last weekend.
The man, in his early 40s, suffered non life threatening facial injuries after coming off his bicycle at Norwood Edge on Sunday, June 28.
The Calder Valley Search and Rescue team and Yorkshire Ambulance Service both attended at about 12.50pm.
The cyclist was transferred to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance team after being treated by paramedics, and taken by helicopter to Leeds General Infirmary.
