BREAST cancer survivors took to the catwalk to show how far they had come in fighting the disease.

All the models at the Haven charity fashion show have fought breast cancer and they helped to raise more than £19,500 by taking part in the event.

Funds raised will be used by the charity to help support women and men from Yorkshire who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Hundreds of people attended the Blossom fashion show which took place at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.

One of the organisers, Nicola Burns, of Horsforth, said more than 40 women took part in the event, including some from Ilkley, Guiseley and Horsforth.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: “This unique fashion show differs from your average fashion show, as all the inspirational models are breast cancer survivors and visitors to The Haven.”
