THE fate of Ilkley Town Hall is being reviewed, Bradford Council has confirmed.
Ward councillor, Anne Hawkesworth (Ind, Ilkley), who has been in talks with a university over possible use of the public building for a small museum, asked Council estates staff for a discussion about use of the town hall. She is concerned the building may be disposed of now most council services have left the building.
An officer has written to her confirming that the utilisation of the Town Hall is currently being reviewed, and future options are being explored. She said that she would be happy to discuss any ideas or proposals for consideration with Councillor Hawkesworth.
Ilkley Town Hall was recently recognised as an Asset of Community Value.
