A CAMPAIGN to form a town council for Guiseley has taken a step back after it was dropped from the agenda of a decisive meeting this week. The issue was to have been discussed at a full meeting of Leeds City Council on Wednesday. Campaign co-ordinator David Bowe said he was not sure why it had been taken off the agenda but he understood there had been some resistance to it. The election cannot go ahead until it has been officially approved by Leeds City Council. Mr Bowe said: “We are not going to give up. We will keep pressing ahead on this.”
