VOLUNTEERS who have worked on Addingham’s welcome to the Tour de France, a fundraising beer festival and coordinated a life-saving local group were welcomed at 10 Downing Street by Prime Minister David Cameron.
In recognition of their contribution to the Addingham community Richard Hunter-Rowe and Alan Davies accompanied Ilkley MP Kris Hopkins to Downing Street.
Mr Hunter-Rowe was recognised for chairing The Tour Addingham 2014 committee and the annual Addingham Beer Festival. He was keen to emphasise that he was acting as a representative of the hard work of both committees.
Mr Davies’ recognition was for his commitment to First Responding with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and the delivery of emergency life support courses to the public.
