SNOW caused disruption overnight on Wednesday with Leeds Bradford Airport forced to shut.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow for Yorkshire and the Humber on Wednesday.
Leeds Bradford Airport closed at 4am due to the wintry weather, which caused disruption to flights. It reopened later in the morning.
A spokesman for the airport said it would be shut until 9am after around five centimetres of snow fell during the night.
The spokesman said snow ploughs and gritters worked along the runways and passengers were advised to arrive as normal, but expect knock-on delays. Holidaymakers were understanding about problems caused by weather conditions.
On the trains, there was minor disruption on the Northern Rail service between Ilkley and Leeds.
Motorists faced a difficult journey at morning rush hour, with some areas seeing two to five centimetres overnight.
