HAVING opened their new Otley office on Kirkgate just under three months ago, Hunters have now expanded their team with the recruitment of an Apprentice, James Hendry.

James has a wealth of local knowledge, as he lives in Otley, and is settling in well – he will be attending Craven College one day a week as part of his studies.

Lester Hurst, Director of Hunters Otley, said: “Hunters believe strongly in developing young talent, and the Apprenticeship scheme is the ideal vehicle for training and nurturing young people in their chosen field. Ellie Dunning joined us two years ago on the same scheme and has developed into an experienced and valuable member of the team.”

James was fortunate enough to meet Greg Mulholland MP recently, when Mr Mulholland popped into the Otley office to meet with Lester Hurst for wide ranging discussions about Otley, and in particular the campaign to honour Lizzie Armitstead – suggestions include the naming of a road after Lizzie and painting a pillar box gold in her honour! The scheme is supported by a number of local individuals and businesses.
