TRAIN services on the Airedale line have been severely disrupted due to overhead wire problems near Shipley, causing delays at Ilkley, Menston and Burley-in-Wharfedale.
The incident was reported at 5.15am this morning and the disruption is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
Initially buses replaced trains between Skipton and Leeds and currently passengers are facing extended journey times of up to 30 minutes due to diversions.
Services between Skipton and Bradford Forster Square will terminate/start at Shipley.
The direct 6.55am Skipton-London King’s Cross train started at Leeds this morning.
