ILKLEY'S Westville House School hosted the Big Sing.
Over 80 children from local schools took part in a fun day of creative singing under the leadership of Beccy Owen, nationally renowned singer/songwriter.
Children from Westville House, Ashlands Primary School, Burley Woodhead, and Burley Oakes, along with their teachers, had an inspirational day, learning many new songs from scratch in a very short space of time.
Everyone worked incredibly hard, and the pressure was on as the goal was to put on a concert in the evening for all the parents, friends and families.
Over 250 people attended the concert which included lots of audience participation and even some of the staff sang solo parts which the children loved. The evening finished with refreshments and a real sense of achievement.
Several of the children commented how exciting the project had been and how it was great to work with lots of new people
