Ilkley meeting on inter-faith dialogue
10:00am Monday 5th May 2014 in Local news
The organisation which co-ordinates the work of the Christian churches in Ilkley is hosting an evening examining how Christians and Muslims can have good relations.
The meeting will be led by Dr Philip Lewis, principal of Bradford Churches for Dialogue and Diversity and Inter-Faith Adviser to the Bishop of Bradford.
It will be held at Christchurch, The Grove, Ilkley, at 8pm on Wednesday.
Dr Lewis will talk about why relations between Muslims and Christians are difficult and examine possible ways forward.
Everyone is welcome to this open meeting which is one of a series of talks aiming to offer the people of Ilkley and Ben Rhydding the chance to examine ethical and moral issues affecting contemporary society.
Previous talks have covered end of life issues and marriage. After the talk, people are welcome to stay for refreshments and the chance to continue to discuss the ideas put forward.
