Ilkley sales and letting agency Linley & Simpson has launched a signboard to celebrate the Tour de France Grand Depart coming to Yorkshire on July 5 and 6.

The sign, which features a cut-out of the iconic yellow jersey, was unveiled this week at the Cow and Calf Rocks on Ilkley Moor.

Director Will Linley said: “As a company with our roots firmly embedded in Yorkshire, we wanted to add our own dimension to the way the county is throwing its support behind this once-in-a-lifetime sporting occasion.”

As part of their support for the event, Linley & Simpson is offering all new sales and rental clients the chance to win a holiday worth £2,014. The names of all property owners who instruct the company to sell or rent their home between now and the end of June will be entered into a prize draw.

And ten of the company’s staff will also be gearing up for the big event by donning lycra and taking part in a charity cycle challenge, taking in the agency’s network of offices in a near-100 mile ride, to raise money for the firm’s chosen charity of the year, Martin House Children’s Hospice at Boston Spa. They pedal off on May 16.
