Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway plane took off live on air from the runway at Leeds-Bradford Airport – making it ITV’s most watched programme of the day. The presenters went to the control tower at Leeds Bradford to see an air traffic control officer clear the aircraft for take-off.

Monarch Airlines, the programme’s official prize partner, flew winners from throughout the series to Orlando, Florida. The finale recorded a peak audience of nearly seven million, on Saturday night.
