An airport worker jetted off to Florida live on air after winning seats in Ant & Dec’s Place on the Plane.
Zoe Walker, from Leeds, had no idea she was about to be given the chance to play when the Saturday Night Takeaway was filmed at Leeds-Bradford Airport at the weekend. But after being given the surprise chance to take part she won the final seats on the flight to Florida.
Zoe, a member of the car park team at Leeds-Bradford Airport, won the game and was jetted off for a week’s holiday in Florida, with £2,000 spending money and a week off work.
Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway plane took off live on air from the runway at Leeds-Bradford Airport – making it ITV’s most watched programme of the day. The presenters went to the control tower at Leeds Bradford to see an air traffic control officer clear the aircraft for take-off.
Monarch Airlines, the programme’s official prize partner, flew winners from throughout the series to Orlando, Florida. The finale recorded a peak audience of nearly seven million, on Saturday night.
