The Wetherby Whaler fish restaurant in Guiseley is supporting Leeds Rhinos and Super League star Tom Briscoe for the 2014 season.
Phillip and Janine Murphy, the owners of the fish and chip restaurant and takeaway chain, are sponsoring the 23-year-old England international, who joined Leeds Rhinos this season from Hull FC.
As part of the partnership, Tom will visit selected restaurants to meet the diners.
Janine said: “At the Wetherby Whaler we are huge rugby fans and we are delighted to be supporting Tom and the club.
“So far, Tom has had a great season and we expect him to score many more tries.”
She added: “We’re putting it down to the power of fish and chips – but Tom’s exceptional talent may have something to do with it!”
