A watercolour artist is currently displaying her paintings at The Art Shop in Ilkley.

Suzan Bridge says she spent many happy years learning the craft of watercolour painting.

“It's been a journey adding to my skill set and defining my own personal 'style',” she said.

“My paintings reflects that style. Best described as wet-on-wet free flowing watercolour. Flowers are my painting passion, with their infinite variety of colours, form and textures.”

Suzan, who lives in the Dales, says she is inspired to paint by the nature that surrounds her.

“I get my inspiration from this beautiful part of the world in which I am fortunate enough to live,”

She added: “Hopefully you will enjoy looking at my paintings and maybe they may inspire you a little also.

"Maybe they could even move you enough to want to put one on your wall - to provide you with a little bit of inspiration; wherever you are in the world.”

Suzan is a member of Menston Art Club and regularly exhibits at their art exhibitions.

A selection of her original flower paintings were shown when she was selected to participate in last year’s Ilkley Art Trail and many favourable comments were made about the variety and quality of her art on display.
