Businesses in Otley are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit money.

The warning comes after a man passed on a fake £20 note at The Old Grammar School Gallery on the morning of Friday, February 7.

Gallery owner Zack Whitehead posted the photograph above of the note after spotting it wasn't genuine a few hours later.

Mr Whitehead said the person who had handed over the £20 was an "older man" who seemed to distract one of his employees on the cash register as he was paying.
