A public meeting on Bradford Council’s proposed changes to school travel assistance will be held in Ilkley on Tuesday, February 11.
Schools, parents and carers are being asked for their views as part of the Council’s consultation on the Home to School Travel Policy proposals.
The Council is proposing to make cuts to free bus travel for many schoolchildren, including secondary school pupils who live further than the statutory walking distance from their school.
It is feared this could hit families from Burley-in-Wharfedale and Addingham whose children attend Ilkley Grammar School.
The meeting will take place in the Kings Hall, Station Road, Ilkley, from 6pm to 8pm.
The consultation period closes on Thursday, February 13.
