Ilkley’s longest-serving Guide leader Pam Clarke has announced plans for a Farewell to the Hut Tea Party.
The Ben Rhydding Scout and Guide Headquarters Appeal is making great progress. Pam said: “We are closing in on our target and hope to start the rebuild this spring.
“I thought it would be a good idea to have a ‘Farewell to the Hut’ tea party.
“It holds 40 years of happy memories for me and so many others in the community.”
Pam is planning a tea party with the help of supporters, friends, current Guides and Explorers on Saturday, February 8, 3pm to 5.30pm, at the Ben Rhydding Scout and Guide Headquarters in Wheatley Lane.
Guests will be treated to tea with freshly-cut sandwiches and homemade cakes.
There will also be a chance to buy homemade jams and preserves, all to help raise funds toward the rebuild.
Tickets are available from Pam at £5 per person. Contact her on (01943) 608268 after 1pm.
