Another series of family history courses run by tutor Jackie Depelle are about to start.

The ten-week courses will provide information on the different types of sources available to develop a family tree and how to get at them.

Websites will be demonstrated, reviewed and accessed for value, as well as watching for new material becoming available.

Jackie said: “They’re a great opportunity to share your discoveries and listen to what other people have found as well, as seeing how they record the generations. “However much research you have already done, you will be able to talk through stumbling blocks and follow the footsteps of your ancestors. Themes this term include occupations, non-conformists, First World War ancestors and writing your family history.”

Run by the WEA, an education charity, courses start this week in Guiseley, Ilkley and Horsforth. Full fees are £63, with a reduction available for some means-tested benefits.
